As for schedules, compared to the “inconvenience” that Spaniards who travel to other European countries usually have to adapt to eating earlier than usual, around 12 or 13 p.m., In Prague, restaurants are open all day.

We ate in the lower part of the restaurant and there we were able to try the breaded cheese, a very good dish and highly recommended.

They have other specialties such as soups and creams that are just as delicious, especially if you visit Prague in winter.

This is one of the most original restaurants in the world: The waiters take your order, and the food arrives to you on a train.

Also next to Charles Bridge in the direction of Jewish quarter is U Pivrnce, a restaurant with very long hours and very striking decoration on all the walls of the premises.

A varied menu that mixes international dishes with others typical dishes that you can eat in the Czech Republic at a great price.

Together with Charles Bridge On the river is one of the restaurants where I've had the most pleasure eating. I thought the place was beautiful, and especially its location.

The food is very good, and I especially enjoyed the duck, which was incredible. It's an elaborate meal and it's not cheap, but you'll leave having thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Restaurant 420 and its views of the astronomical clock

I thought this restaurant was amazing, how beautiful and elegant it is, and it is also right in the center, right in front of the Prague Astronomical Clock.

We discovered it on our last visit, and in addition to eating well with very elegant dishes, there was a final surprise.

On the second floor, there's a renovated room with incredible, elevated views of the clock. It's not always open, but they'll show it to you if you ask.

As for the food, I found the dishes to be very elaborate and the food very good. It's not cheap, though, which is understandable considering the historic building it's in, as well as its unique location.

A site I like to recommend is Jazz Boat.

As the name suggests, it's a restaurant on a boat with live music. It's a place to go for dinner and watch the sunset while taking a walk along the river.

It seemed like a fantasy dinner to me to see Prague from a boat while having dinner.

I'd also like to point out that the boat isn't very big, and the live music might be a bit overwhelming. To avoid that, we booked dinner upstairs, as the music is inside.

If you dare to visit the small peninsula at the northern end of the city next to the Latenska Park, I'm going to give you a recommendation.

Vnitroblock It is not just a restaurant where you can eat in Prague, it is a multidisciplinary space where you can go to eat, but also to have breakfast, have a coffee, read, or even take painting classes.

A place with a very nice industrial-style decoration that mixes sofas among plants with exposed ceilings.

A very special place, with the most alternative side of Prague, where we didn't eat, but we did see people doing so and it was a menu format, so the prices shouldn't be high.

Food Trucks from Jatka 78

In the same area, where it is located Jatka 78, a space in the style of the Matadero in Madrid, with plenty of exhibition spaces, shops and supermarkets, is my next recommendation.

I mean a small place with several Food trucks where you can eat in Prague away from the city's tourists.

Vozokovna Dog BAR, the craziest place in Prague

This is probably the craziest and most extravagant recommendation for eating in the Czech Republic, as this place is not actually a restaurant, which doesn't mean you can't eat inside.

In a place to have an after dinner drink or a beer (or whatever you want) with live music, dark, surrounded by a decor that borders on psychedelia with its colored lights, where you can also get something to eat. Pizzas, basically.

It may not be an appropriate recommendation if you are just looking to eat, but it is if you want live a curious experience in Prague.

We've been there several times, and although it's not for everyone because it's focused on young people, it's a place we always return to just because of how unique it is.

Angelato, the best ice cream in Prague

Finally, if you visit Prague in the summer, it's sure to be quite hot, and we're telling you this because we've experienced it firsthand.

That's why I'm going to recommend an ice cream shop, the most famous and delicious in the city.

Angelato is located in Mala Stana and has some really good ice creams. There is usually a queue but it goes very fast and there are lots of flavours. I loved the yogurt ice cream.

Restaurant prices in Prague and Czech Republic

Below I am going to give you an idea of ​​the Prices that you will find in the Czech Republic at lunchtime (in 2025, on my last trip),

I will tell you that main dishes in good restaurants will cost you between 150 and 300 cz (6 to 12 euros), and in cheap restaurants they will cost you 100 to 200 cz (4 to 7 euros).

However, if you go to a more exclusive restaurant, such as the one in the Municipal House in Prague, the price can go up, with a main course of meat costing between 20 and 25 euros, but this is an exception.

Obviously in Prague restaurant prices are clearly more expensive, although there is a big difference between restaurants in tourist areas and those in neighborhoods of the city less frequented by tourists.

You will have the extreme on the terraces of the Old Town Square restaurants, where lunch or dinner can cost you up to 30 euros per person (not too expensive for the impressive setting...).

Of course, I will tell you that if you choose to dine inside these restaurants, it will cost you half!, although the setting is not the same...

Plus, the beer is really cheap. It is said that beer in Prague is cheaper than water, and after looking in many restaurants, we have to say that it is true, or at least it is true.

In a Prague bar or restaurant like the ones we have recommended, a pivo, that is, a 0,30 l beer costs around 25 CZK (one euro) and a half-litre mug, 49 CZK (2 euros) and 1 litre 4 euros

If you drink a special coffee in one of the traditional Prague cafes, it will cost you 3,50 euros, a capuccino, 2,50 euros, and a smoothie, 3,50 euros.

One last piece of advice: in the Prague airport, where there are not many restaurant options, the prices are totally international, in their worst version, that is, very, very expensive...
