  • I agree with Bea, you don't have lunch or dinner in the bathrooms, there are different places for everything. I have come here because I will visit Besalú very soon and I have little pleasure in political comments on a tourism portal. Hugs and greetings to all.

  • Unfortunately, this happens in many heritage-rich towns in Catalonia.
The motto of some Catalan politicians for the Catalan people seems to be divide and conquer, because it is unfortunate to be talking in this post about political issues and flags when the comments should be about the cultural wealth of the place.
Issues of sides, flags, corruption and so on aside, I think it is very interesting to take a guided tour of Besalú to understand the history and heritage wealth of the place.

  • Two years ago my wife and I went to this town. Little tourists at the time. Beautiful. We are from Costa Rica.

  • Besalú belongs to those who live there and they have the right to express themselves freely. It is also policy to force Catalan town councils to display the flag of the empire.

  • Those images that you put, both of the bridge and the monastery and the rest of the town, are not the ones I saw last year in the month of November.
The entire town was politicized, even the religious buildings.
