On your visit to Trebic, the central point of it will be the Karlovo square (Karlovo Namesti), which with its 22.000 square meters is considered one of the largest in all of Central Europe.

This large plaza was originally a large market area, which developed alongside the city that grew from a Benedictine monastery.

4.- Jewish Quarter of Trebic

El Jewish quarter, as I have previously commented, is the most significant element of Trebic.

Located north of the city center, on the other bank of the river, it is the classic neighborhood of popular houses and narrow alleys, where you can still see Renaissance and Baroque architectural elements.

The neighborhood developed outside the large market that grew next to the Benedictine monastery, since until the end of the 19th century the Jewish population could not settle outside of it.

At Trebic Jewish Quarter or two synagogues from the years 1590 and 1640, and to the north of it is a Jewish cementary which is also part of the set considered Heritage.
