One of the great pleasures I have had since I started publishing this blog is the possibility of discovering new places where it is worth traveling.

But also to rediscover other places that I knew years ago and that have become more attractive with the passage of time.

That is the case of the Valencia city and, specifically, of his Old City, which I visited many years ago, when part of it was in a state of great deterioration, specifically, the Carmen neighborhood.

Now I have had the opportunity to return to the Valencia city to visit it with the eyes of a tourist.

What has happened to me seems to happen to most tourists, who come to the city for the first time, attracted by the interest in getting to know the city. City of Arts and Sciences,

Then, during your visit to the city, you discover a historic center with very interesting corners to visit.

Already from the arrival in Valencia in eTA (which is without a doubt the best way to travel to the city) it is worth taking the inner bus from the Joaquín Sorolla station to the nearby North Station.

There you will be surprised by the great display of Valencian modernism which is this last building.

La Town Hall Square or the Virgin Square They are main axes on a walk through the historic center.

In the latter you find the peculiar building of the cathedral, where among other corners you can see the cup considered as holy chalice, or the Generalitat palace.

Not far from this last square you have the Lonja de la Seda, declared monument Heritage awarded by the Unesco, and the impressive Central Market, also a modernist-style building, now a leisure and gastronomy center.

And near the Town Hall square, the palace of the Marquis of dos Aguas, with its impressive portico rococo style.

At walk through the center of Valencia you also have the possibility of visit the Museum of Fine Arts, considered the second art gallery in Spain.

And if what you like is modern Art, you have an appointment with him IVAM, a museum that has earned special prestige for its temporary exhibitions.

In Myself trip to Valencia I also had time to see the very interesting audiovisual guided tour The Adventure of Thought, which takes place in the MUVIM museum.

And, of course, now far from the historic center, you had the opportunity to return to visit the City of Arts and Sciences.

It is a complex of modern buildings that, controversies aside, has been a before and after for Valencia as a tourist destination.
