From the construction of the church of Sant Climent de Taüll It is known that it was consecrated in 1123 by the bishop of Roda-Barbastro, Ramon Gillem.

On the basis of a building erected in the 11th century, Sant Climent It shows a beautiful exterior image in which its stone walls stand out, with three apses at the head and a slender six-story square tower with windows with columns.

Its interior has the characteristic basilica plan, with three naves separated by columns and the central apse of the chancel with two other small apses on the sides.

The original frescoes were removed in 1922 for protection and are now preserved in the National Museum of Art of Catalonia, riding a Barcelona.

Among these frescoes is the scene of the pantocrator that has become an iconic image of the Romanesque paintings from the Boí Valley.

In a recent restoration, new paintings have been discovered, while other Romanesque frescoes have been restored in the north apse.
