Tu Córdoba sightseeing tour, riding a Andalusia, cannot be complete without the gastronomic aspect, and the best way to taste it is to eat tapas.
Surely you know that one of the most typical gastronomic specialties of Córdoba is gazpacho, and I'm going to recommend a place where you can taste a really excellent salmorejo.
Is Mezquita Wineries, one of the most prestigious tapas places in Córdoba and most frequented by visitors to the beautiful Andalusian city.
Mezquita Wineries is a tavern that opened in the 60s, and currently has two locations on separate streets of the Jewry that surround the premises of the Mosque of Cordoba.
On Céspedes Street 12, an alley that you find in front of the north façade of the campus. Mosqueat the height of altarpiece of the Virgin of the Lanterns, you have the largest and busiest location in Bodegas Mezquita.
The other location is located on Calle Corregidor Luis de Cerda 73, right in the southeast corner of the Mosque grounds.
En Mezquita Wineries you find a wide offer of portions and tapas, with a really very good quality/price ratio.
From my point of view, salmorejo is the star dish, with a great texture and excellent flavor. Of course, it is a dish that can be strong if you don't like the taste of garlic. The half portion, ideal for one person, leaving you also well satiated, costs 4,30 euros.
As is usual in andalusian taverns, at mealtime you can order tapas, half portions and portions, which allows you to taste various specialties.
As an example, I tell you that on my last visits I have tried the aforementioned half portion of salmorejo (4,30 euros); a tapa of crab salad (2,95 euros); lace top (3,95 euros); secret cover (3,30 euros); ham croquettes tapa (3,30 euros); half a portion of fried calamari (4,85 euros); and a fried fish (11,50 euros).
Una tapas and portions food For two people, with drinks and dessert, it can cost you between 27 and 35 euros in total.
In short, a highly recommended gastronomic event in your tourist trip to Córdoba.
I already said that this sounded familiar... it was where my cousin's wedding was held. One of the best and most original banquets I have ever attended, all based on starters, even the main courses were designed to be eaten standing or leaning on a bar.
I guess it was a good feast 🙂
