Hiking routes among snowy landscapes to enjoy in Switzerland during winter

One of the main reasons that led me to ski many years ago is the enjoy the great snowy landscapes.

But to enjoy these landscapes you don't need to know how to ski. This is how he puts it to us Switzerland this 2012-2013 season, by offering us the possibility of hiking, traveling through those beautiful snowy landscapes, but also towns of great beauty.

for this winter Switzerland ofrece 5.100 kilometers of trails duly equipped and signposted, which are distributed throughout Switzerland, as a complement to its ski resorts.

If you really want to enjoy this winter activity, complementing skiing, on the official website of Switzerland you will find detailed information with the 36 winter hiking routes.

These walks run through very different landscapes. So you can take a romantic walk through the Lake Geneva region, or a high altitude walk through Europe's oldest larch forest in the Rhône Valley. Or there is also a route that goes from First to Grindelwald, along the north face of Mount Eiger.

Of each of the proposed routes, on the website you have all the necessary information to choose the one that best suits your preferences. Thus, in addition to a map, you have information on how to get there, generally by train; the distance and estimated duration of the route; the technical and physical level required to do the route; its profile, and all its characteristics. Additionally, you can see a 3D map through Google Earth.
