If you sign up for a trip to poland of those offered by tourism agencies, the capital, warsaw, it will always be a stage on the route.

But perhaps you are not sure what the monuments or places to visit are going to be, compared to other Polish cities of which you do know their tourist attractions, such as Krakow o Wroclaw.

In my recent trip to poland I have had the opportunity to discover Warsaw, a city that I already told you is totally worth visiting.

Of course, you will be aware that it is a city that was almost completely destroyed at the end of the Second World War, an episode in which you can delve deeper during the shocking visit of the Warsaw Uprising museum.

Therefore, it is a completely rebuilt city but it contains corners of great beauty and interest.

Of course, the Old City which you arrive at through the so-called Royal Route, where you can see various reconstructed monuments, such as the Royal Castle or various palaces, such as Presidential, or churches, like the Neo-Gothic archcathedral.

In that area you can also see the grounds of the Citadel built in the 19th century.

Of the presence of the communist regime in Poland, the best exponent that you will be able to see is the big skyscraper known as the Palace of Culture and Science, which has remained one of the iconic images of the city.

Other corners worth highlighting are the Lazienki park, where on summer Sundays you can listen to Chopin concertos for free, or the recovered Prague neighborhood, which from a marginal area has become a fashionable neighborhood.

  • Poland is the most beautiful country I have ever known, and one that I would like to return to. The people are wonderful and their Cukiernias are the tastiest I've tried.

  • I recommend you see Christmas in Warsaw, the problem is the cold... but I certainly had some unforgettable days.

It has a lot to see, and above all, thinking that it is a city that was completely destroyed and seeing it as it is now is impressive.
