Hiking Cliffs of Moher in Ireland
But you still have another option to make a more complete and different visit from these impressive cliffs, outside the most touristy routes.
It's about making a hiking route of little more than three hours along the cliffs, starting from the town of Doolin, to the north of them, where they begin to rise from the plain.
Pat, a restless farmer who resides in Doolin, and Gaelic football player passionate about his land, a few years ago he began to convince 19 farmers in the area to create a path so that it would be fully accessible so that any tourist could take this walk.
The result is the current hiking trails through Moher that nowadays Pat carries out as tour guide.
Without a doubt, it is an excellent way to get to know this spectacular geological formation in depth.
If you are interested in doing this route, you can contact Pat Sweeney in the email doonagore@circom.net, or by phone (065)7074170.
