Did you know that the Prince William and Kate Middelton, protagonists of the British Royal Wedding, they met at University of St Andrews, in Scotland?

On April 29 of this year, 2011, the great Royal wedding which had Britain excited.

When in your sightseeing trip through scotland visit the beautiful medieval town of St Andrews, to the north of Edinburgh, you will remember that the princes met precisely at their university.

Prince Charles broke the tradition of the British Royal Family to study at the universities of Oxford or Cambridge, as he preferred to go to historic University of St Andrews, the oldest in Scotland and the third oldest in Great Britain.

It was on the campus of said university where Prince William later met Kate Middleton, expanding their friendship on their walks through the beautiful city of St Andrews.

In your visit to St Andrews, currently very famous for its splendid golf courses, be sure to enter one of the numerous university campuses that spread throughout this small town of medieval origin.

And, of course, don't stop visit the ruins of the old cathedral and especially Climb the tower of the old St Rule's Church, from where you will have beautiful panoramic views of the university city.
