It had been many years since I had visited the Flemish city of Bruges, riding a Belgium, and I was somewhat afraid that when I returned I would not meet the expectations of the image of a beautiful city that I kept in my memory.

But it has not been that way. In my recent trip to bruges I have re-discovered one of the most beautiful cities you can visit in Europe.

A good reflection of its great attraction is the large number of tourists that flooded its streets, even though my visit did not coincide with the peak holiday season.

Witches It is a small city that is very easy to visit, which you can do perfectly on foot.

But it is also a city of corners, of many corners to discover.

Bruges also concentrates a great artistic wealth, specifically works by the flamingo primitives that you can contemplate, above all, in the Groeninge museum or in the old building Hospital of San Juana corner with great charm as it takes you to the atmosphere of a hospital in the Middle Ages.

As an artistic curiosity, on my last trip I discovered that in Bruges you can also see a sculpture by Michelangelo, specifically, in the church of our lady.

Walk through the Canals of Bruges

The most popular way to see Bruges is to visit by boat by boat through its canals, where you will find some of the most beautiful corners of the flamenco city.

And in this regard the most notable is the one known as Saint Boniface bridge, but of course also the so-called Rosario dock (rozenhoedkaai), the most famous and photographed corner of the city.

Of course, apart from the monuments or artistic corners, I can tell you that what you will like most about Bruges are the store windows.

The Lace and craft chocolates They are its main protagonists and well justify a route through the shops of its most popular shopping streets.

  • Hello, if you plan to hire transfers from Charleroi to Ghent or Bruges, never do it with flibco.com, DON'T DO IT. They left us stranded in Ghent, we had to take a taxi to the airport so as not to miss the flight. 140 euros for a taxi. You complain and they say the bus was late. I don't think that a company that makes airport transfers can afford for its buses to arrive late.
    An impressive lack of seriousness.

  • I love the photos you have published, they perfectly capture the charm of Bruges. When I had the opportunity to visit the Flanders area I was able to enjoy every detail and the harmony that each of its corners exudes. A marvel!
