In the case of trip to India from Madrid or Barcelona You have the option of the route with a stopover in a European city, or the route with a stopover in countries in the Arabian Gulf.

In this respect, one of the most varied and cheapest options to fly to India is the one that offers Jet Airways, one of India's two flag carriers, with one of the youngest fleets in the region and 116 aircraft.

On this occasion I am going to talk to you about the route that Jet Airways does with a stopover at European airports.

Thus, and as a novelty since the end of October of this year 2016, this Indian company founded in Bombay offers the incorporation of the Boeing 777-300ER on its routes from Amsterdam and London to said city, the true financial center of this Asian country.

It is one of the largest commercial aircraft today, which offers a triple interior configuration that, without a doubt, ensures great travel comfort.

The eight cabins undoubtedly stand out First Class, with the maximum level of comfort. But in the Jet Airways Boeing 777-300ER You also have 30 bed seats Business-Première and 308 seats Economy ergonomic design.

Specifically, in the Amsterdam route in combination with the Dutch company KLM You have the option from Madrid or Barcelona of an early bird flight that takes you to Schipol airport.

Then at a similar time you have the option of fly to Mumbai or Delhi, with a trip duration of eight hours, so you will arrive at your destination late on the day of departure.

And for him return via Amsterdam, leaving at 3 in the morning from India, you will arrive in Madrid or Barcelona in the early afternoon of the same day, with a total trip duration of just over 17 hours.

This alternative of Travel to India It also has the advantage, from my point of view, of making the stopover at one of the best European airports.

I mean the one of Schiphol, which, as I have seen on recent trips, offers very comfortable and modernized facilities and services for passengers on stopover.

Have a nice trip to India!

  • Hello! I have flown to India with that KLM+JET Airways combination and the KLM section is phenomenal, the Jet section (which is the long section) is noticeably of worse quality, since most of us do not travel by bussiness with those mega seats 😉

Taking 17 hours to return from India via Amsterdam, as you mention in the post, in my opinion is an awful lot of time on a layover. (I flew about 13 hours with a 2 and a half hour layover last month). On the other hand, Schipol is a very good airport for a stopover.

There is also a direct flight from Madrid with Air India, with very good schedules/frequency and we save the stopover.
