But there are places in the world, like Grand Canyon in Arizona or Iguazu waterfalls, where the impression that seeing them makes you is much greater than what you could imagine.

That same feeling is caused by finding yourself in Xian in front of the original site of the excavations, seeing the thousands of warriors placed in rows, which has no comparison with the image that you may have had of them previously.

When you visit the excavation area, which you find in the vicinity of the city of Xian, you can see a large area of flat land with some mounds, and it is assumed that the mausoleum is hidden in one of them.

  • Hello: The Warriors museum is admirable and the way they manage the tourist part is excellent. One cannot fail to bring some souvenir from this place, so I bought a 30 or 40 cm figure. which I also brought with me without a hitch. I want to warn you that there are sellers who offer boxes with some figures (5 units) that are of poor quality. I bought one of them for US $10 out of curiosity and when they cleaned them the dark finish paint came off.
I was also surprised that I found figures of apparently very good quality at the Beijing international airport, at a lower cost than those sold as certified in the museum. I don't know how good they are, but in China it is risky to buy imitations, which are abundant in all types of merchandise...

  • Good afternoon, I just wanted to say that I do not advise anyone to buy a terracotta figure at the Terracotta Warriors Museum in Xian, because I did it, and I feel cheated. Because when they gave me the total amount, the person who assisted me told me that all expenses to Madrid were included and that they would take it to my house and my surprise is that they called me and told me that to get it off the boat and bring it to me I have to pay a higher amount than what you pay in China. The truth is that he brought back very good memories for me but today I would not return because I feel deceived and deceived. It's a shame that they have to lie to sell a figure.

    • Thank you Carolina for your contribution.

I will tell you that, in my case, I preferred to carry the figures for half of the trip, since I preferred to take them with me. Of course, I didn't bring a life-size figure, but one 50 cm high. And I bought them in a large store near the excavations, but not in the museum.
