What is the best time to travel to Punta Cana and the Dominican Republic?

The majority of tourists who come to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, especially the Spanish, do it in the summer months, mainly from June to mid-September.

We are one of the countries that, compared to other countries in the world, concentrates the largest number of vacation days in the summer months.

There are times when vacations are taken when you can and not when you want!!

Depending on the type of work, you may have to travel during these months, and even more so if you do it with children to coincide with school holidays.

Travel in summer to Punta Cana

In summer is when you will find the most heat and humidity in Punta Cana, obviously a good date to travel to said Caribbean destination.

When we think travel to the Caribbean, the first thing that comes to mind is to try not to do it in hurricane season, and that is why we often look for information, to try to make it not coincide.

You have to know that hurricanes form when it is very hot and coincides with certain humidity conditions, so in this case, having more or less constant temperatures, the truth is that they can form at any time of the year.

And another very important thing, the hurricane season does not coincide with the low season; In fact, most of this season coincides with the months of maximum tourist demand.

Although it is true that official hurricane season in the Caribbean, and when they are most likely to occur, it goes from the beginning of June to the end of November, which is when sea temperatures are highest.
