Today is the day we are going to visit Universal Studios, one of the main stages of our coast-to-coast road trip through the United States.
We left the hotel early, which was about 20 kilometers away, and spent about five hours visiting, that is, the entire morning.
Honestly, we expected something else, since what we were really seeing and visiting was an amusement park mainly aimed at a more children's and youth audience.
To understand us, the Universal Studios theme park It's like a Disneyland where the Disney figures are replaced by the Simpsons, Schreck, etc...
We rode some of the attractions that seemed most interesting to us, including a fairly successful virtual trip, from which both Miquel and Aurora came away complaining, a little dizzy.
The only attraction that corresponds to the expectations we had, of visit film studios where the movies are produced, was the so-called Universal Studios Tour.
In this 45 minute tour made on special buses by the royal film studios.
In it we could see, among other corners, the house where Alan Bates' mother lived in the film Psychosis, with an actor imitating Alan Bates with a knife, well characterized, and chasing our bus amid the screams of some.
We also saw various scenarios that evoked entire neighborhoods of cities, New York among them, and various famous movie cars such as fantastic car from the television series.
We also saw the special effects of a powerful fictitious rain, with the subsequent flood through the streets of a very successful decoration of a Western town.
And we passed by an artificial lake where a mechanical shark appeared to us, surrounded by explosions and with an atmosphere typical of the film. Shark by Steven Spielberg. With her jaws open, she managed to fill the bus with screams.
And, in short, we traveled plaza scenes that we can see in current television series, and even two cars simulating accidents and spinning.
During our visit to the Universal Studios theme parkIt is also worth highlighting the attraction that takes place in a kind of theater, where short sequences are performed in which special effects are the main protagonists.
Thus, presented in a friendly way, we could see how they cut hands and all kinds of wounds were made, and how action scenes were developed with big explosions.
To complete our visit to Universal Studios, we decided to eat at a pizzeria inside the park, before leaving and heading to Santa Monica.
