El Golden Gate Park It is a large urban park that covers an area of 4,1 square kilometers.

Configured as a rectangle, it is similar in shape to the Central Park de New York and 20 percent larger than this one, with which it is usually compared.

With 13 million visitors a year, the San Francisco's Golden Gate Park It is the third most visited urban park in the United States, after the aforementioned Central Park and Lincoln park de Chicago.

Once we parked the car, we walked through this immense park and first visited the Rose Garden, where you can see a wide variety of roses of all types, shapes and sizes, all very well cared for.

We also walked for a while Botanical Garden and Arboretum, and we accessed (this time paying…) the Japanese Tea Garden.

Built to be part of the San Francisco World's Fair from 1894, this Japanese garden is the oldest public garden in the United States.

Full of ponds, with their bridges, its name could not miss a typical japanese tea house, where we had, of course, tea and pastries.

It is really very, very well cared for, with miniature gardens and corners that offer calm to the visitor.

After finishing our walk through the Golden Gate Park, we head to the famous Barrio chino Chinatown, where, by the way, it was not easy for us to park the car.

El Chinatown de San Francisco It is the oldest Chinatown in North America and is home to the largest Chinese community outside of Asia.

In addition to being a starting point and home for thousands of Chinese immigrants, it is currently a tourist attraction important for its shops and restaurants, which each year attract more tourists to the neighborhood than to the neighborhood itself. Golden Gate Suspension Bridge.

En Portsmouth Square you can see people practicing Tai Chi and old people playing Chinese chess. A replica of the Statue of Democracy Used in the Tiananmen Square protests, it was built in 1999 by Thomas Marsh and is located in this square.

We walked around this neighborhood for a long time, entering stores, buying ginseng in its different forms. Everything, everything, is in Chinese and it shows that they live in their world.

Of course, we ate in a Chinese establishment, with Chinese beer.

When we leave Chinatown, we decided to head to the Berkeley University, which is located across the Bay bridge.

La University of California at Berkeley is a public university located in Berkeley, near San Francisco, and is the oldest of the University of California campuses.

It is recognized as the number one public university in the United States and in the world.

During the turbulent decade of the 60s, with opposition to the Vietnam War, the University of Berkeley He gained fame as the center of the American university left, and is now culturally recognized in the United States for his activism and avant-garde.

We took a first tour by car, and then roads until we located the central core of the University campus.

In total, a walk of a couple of hours through a campus where there was a more student atmosphere.

We even entered some faculty to see what it was like inside.

Everything clean, very well cared for, plenty of bicycles to get around the campus and many, many oriental students.

During our walk through the University of Berkeley We coincided with a rock group concert Fish which was held in the university stadium, so there were large crowds of people in its surroundings.

Finally, after returning to the hotel, we felt that little by little the spirit of San Francisco It invades us and we fall in love with the city. She goes deep.
