We had decided to go directly to Hollywood, after doubts about taking a longer route and crossing the death valley national park, but we finally discarded it.

It has been a day of transition, on the road, arriving in California, the promised land.

Pleasant trip, with greener and less arid landscapes than what has been seen in Arizona.

Along the way we stopped for a while at a restaurant called Peggy sue It belongs, I believe, to a chain of the same name and is completely decorated with motifs from the 50s. It really is fun and pleasant.

The staff and waitresses, ladies of a certain age, were also dressed from that era. They prepared us the best hot dog, according to them, from this part of the world, which was really good (I repeated!).

We arrived at the hotel in Hollywood around 13.15:XNUMX p.m. and we headed directly to eat at one of the three restaurants that were recommended to us.

Finally we opted for a Thai restaurant called Thai Patio, located at Hollywood Boulevard.

At first I noticed some reluctance on the part of my travel companions and table companions when it came to selecting the dishes, but in the end we really liked the food and the Thai beer.

Actually our stay in Los Angeles focused almost exclusively on Hollywood and vicinity.

Los Angeles is a great metropolis, without a downtown unique, made up of a multitude of neighborhoods or areas, in which they are sometimes differentiated by ethnicity (Thai neighborhood, Chinatown, Armenian neighborhood, Polish, Vietnamese,...).

Hispanicism is very present in all areas of Los Angeles, and it is the language that is heard in the streets.

At the supermarket where we went to shop near the hotel (we were staying 3 nights), all the service was Hispanic.

The cashier boy, at our request, explained to us that he was very well in the United States, where he worked and led a decent life.

He also told us that the level of security in Los Angeles depended on the areas of the city, and that, in general, everything was very safe, but that we should not cross a street (I don't remember which one...) because from It was dangerous there.

After eating, we walked towards Hollywood Boulevard, where we saw from the outside the Madame Tussaud's and Kodak Theater.

In the distance, on a nearby hill, we also saw the great and famous and enormous HOLLYWOOD poster.
