Our visit to Amarillo, in this new day of Coast to coast trip through the United States, It started with a walk through the city, after managing to park the car without paying!!!.

Yellow, riding a Texas, it is a very pleasant, quiet, quite harmonious city. Ideal for a quiet life.

During our walk we saw a statue, with a plaque signed by former President Bush, in tribute to astronaut Rick Husband, son of Amarillo, and died in 2003, after the disintegration of the NASA spacecraft Columbia, along with the entire crew of which he was its commander.

The visit that most attracted our attention, after the kind explanations at the Amarillo Visitor Center, was Palo Duro Canyon, a state park located 25 miles from Amarillo, and where we decided to head.

Suddenly, Aurora realized that she had left her glasses at the motel.

We returned quickly and, although the cleaning employees had already passed by, and had piled up the sheets and duvets on the beds in a corner, after a few anxious moments we found the glasses hidden by the sheets on the floor. Aurora breathed calmly.

Remarkable data, but incomparable with the 450 kilometers in length and more than 2,000 meters of maximum depth of the Grand Canyon.

We toured the canyon by car, stopping in those places that seemed most attractive to us.

It is really interesting to see the different forms that nature has taken over the centuries.

You can clearly see the different geological layers, of different colors, as well as the vegetation.
