In your visit from San Francisco, during your trip through the western United States, you will also find some architectural surprises.

I am referring to classical style constructions more common to see in the cities of the east coast, as is especially the case in Washington.

Specifically, it is necessary to point out the Palace of Fine Arts (Fine Arts), located in the district of La Marina, in the northern part of San Francisco, near the famous suspension bridge Golden Gate.

History of the San Francisco Fine Arts Palace

It is a mansion located next to a lake, which was built in 1915 for a Pacific Exposition, and whose architectural style is inspired by the classicism of Greece and Rome.

In fact, it is one of the few surviving buildings from said exhibition, which was actually rebuilt in 1965 after the previous palace was demolished.

At the same time as this reconstruction, the design of the garden environment and the lake that surrounds it was also carried out.

El San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts It is an architectural complex in the shape of a pergola, with a central rotunda and colonnades, all in classic architectural style.

Until 2013 it was also the headquarters of the Exploratorium, an interactive science museum that has moved to the area of San Francisco Pier.

Now he is one of the corners of San Francisco visited by tourists, as well as a place where weddings are celebrated.
