Travel experiences from Hoolbrok to Phoenix in Arizona during the coast to coast trip through the United States and Canada

In these new days in Arizona, within our Coast to coast trip through the United States, we are going to take a trip of just over 300 kilometers from Holbrook to the city of Phoenix, the state capital.

Holbrook It is a town located in Navajo County in Arizona and is the capital of this Indian ethnic group.

It has about 5,000 inhabitants and is located in the historic Route 66.

Holbrook was founded in 1881, when the railroad was built, and is named after the company's first chief engineer Atlantic and Pacific Railroad.

The journey to Phoenix has been fantastic. We have done it with a peaceful spirit, invaded by the environment, with great tranquility.

The landscape has been different from the last few days, despite still being in Arizona and heading to Phoenix, a city located in the middle of the desert.

We have crossed mountains, valleys, vegetation everywhere, rivers, some lakes...

We have also passed close to the Tonto National Park, although in this case we have not visited it. As always, many sensations due to so much nature, its immensity, the sunny days and the eternal blue skies.

We have eaten in a Denny's Upon arriving at Phoenix and we have stayed at the hotel.

The hotel receptionist, of Mexican origin, very friendly, has helped us get situated both in the hotel and in Phoenix.

This afternoon, at 19:15 p.m., our friends from Cardereu Miquel and Dolors arrive, who will continue the journey with us for the next 15 days to San Francisco. We look forward to seeing you and sharing these wonders with someone!!

Before heading to the airport, we stopped by a supermarket. Wal Mart in Phoenix to restock the fridge and buy beers to share with Dolors and Miquel.

We also thought about having dinner in the room with them because we thought they would be tired from the flight (Barcelona, Charlotte, Phoenix).

We have also traveled by car through the area of Tempe, where the motel is located, and which is characterized by its long and wide avenues that create a large network-type mosaic.

It is a residential area, where new trams arrive from the downtown and where there are many restaurants, shops and the occasional shopping center.

All with a very dry desert heat of more than 40º!!

Phoenix rises in the middle of the heat of the great Sonoran Desert, in central Arizona.

Along with the homes of some contemporary Native American tribes, one of the fastest growing major urban centers developed, the Phoenix metropolitan area, with a population of more than four million inhabitants.
