In our Coast to coast trip through the United States and CanadaToday we have a day of transition, a road trip.

We left the hotel early in the vicinity of Memphis, well we had 370 miles ahead of us until Mount pleasant, on way to Dallas.

The initial plan would have been to go directly to Dallas, but we decided to spread out the routes to better enjoy the road, even if it was reducing nights in various places.

On the route we cross again the Mississppi river and the entire State of Arkansas, passing near Little Rock, birthplace of Bill Clinton.

Around 15 p.m., after eating in a Denny's From a highway service area, we arrived at the motel.

Once installed, we spent a couple of hours exploring the area of Mount pleasant, quite a standard American town, small, with many residential areas and various shopping centers and stores.

The truth is that we continue to be surprised by the American style of houses in which there are no separation fences between them.

The overall aesthetic improves greatly, although a little privacy may be lost.

We visited a very large supermarket called Brookshire's and a shopping center Leroy Merlin called Lowell's.

We were struck by the family sizes of some cookers, washing machines and barbecues.

In food supermarkets there is familiar packaging for almost all products.

Around 8 in the morning the next day, having already had a good breakfast, we left in the direction of the motel that we had reserved in the surroundings of dallas, where we arrived around 11 am, with enough time to start visiting the area.

We are in the Texas state, the second in area and population of the entire United States.

You may not know that Spain possessed the Texan territory, during the Mexican viceroyalty.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Oil became the great protagonist of Texas, which led to a great economic boom, although numerous high-tech companies have currently settled.

Austin is the capital of the State of Texas, although Houston is the most populated city.
